Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable tour has come to a screeching halt due to the singer’s adherence to doctor’s orders as she confesses that she and hubby Wissam Al Mana whom she married in 2012 – are trying to “plan” for an addition to the family.
The 49-year-old – who is the youngest of the Jackson dynasty turns fifty in May, and despite not confirming that she was pregnant with her first child, Jackson did allude to the fact that she is actively trying in the video message she released to fans on Wednesday.
“My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can, try to understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up; doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you.”
Jackson then went on to thank her fans for their endearing support and loyalty. She also gave a shoutout to her band, dancers and crew.
After much-hyped anticipation, the Unbreakable tour began its itinerary back in August but was temporarily derailed when Jackson unexpectedly announced on Dec. 24 that she was postponing the tour to recuperate from a medical procedure that continues to remain a mystery. The only confirmation was the denial that she had cancer – a rumor that eroded social media.
After the singer asked for fans to pray for her recovery – Jackson proceeded to schedule her tentative itinerary for the next leg of the tour that was supposed to resume on May 14 in Las Vegas. Other cities on the list included, Portland, Oregon, Houston, Detroit, Atlanta, Washington, New York and Philadelphia.
Those who were affected by the cancelled shows had the option of applying their tickets to the rescheduled shows.
There is no telling how this latest breaking news will affect ticket holders but hopefully Live Nation will be able to facilitate all requests accordingly.
In the meantime – Jackson’s impending baby news is expected at any minute.
