Charlize Theron Confirmed as the Villain in ‘Fast 8’

After weeks of speculation and unrelenting rumors, it has been confirmed that actress Charlize Theron will join the cast of Fast 8 under the tutelage of director F. Gary Gray who directed the Mad Max star in 2003’s The Italian Job.

There isn’t much to divulge about the role except that Theron will not be playing nice with the Fast Family.

Sources confirm that the actress will play the villain who is out to once again wreck havoc on the globally inclined teamsters.

The script, penned by long time staple Chris Morgan was recently completed and sources cite that to be one of the reasons why Theron was finally ready to accept the role.

But her decision may affect her involvement in another project already in the works – Grey Man, which was originally written for a male actor, but is being rewritten to accommodate Theron, who is attached to star in the thriller.

The necessitated delay gave Theron extra time to seriously consider signing on for the eight installment of the franchise that has become a worldwide phenomenon.

All the major players including Vin Diesel who also serves as producer, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges are expected to be back to for another opportunity to Ride or Die.

The official release date has been set for April 14, 2017.
