Amandla Stenberg, best known for her role in The Hunger Games, is in talks to star in a period piece from Belle director Amma Asante.
Amandla Stenberg
Where Hands Touch, is set in 1940’s Berlin and focuses on the romantic relationship between a German girl of mixed heritage and an SS officer.
Nothing else has been divulged about the project except the casting of Stenberg and the fact that the script has been in process even before Asante’s other period gem 2013’s Belle was completed.
Shooting for Where Hands Touch is set to begin this summer.
Next up for Asante is the racial drama – A United Kingdom starring Selma’s David Oyelowo and Gone Girl’s Rosamund Pike – which will hit theaters later this year.
