Golden Globe winner, Taraji P. Henson isn’t wasting any time to enjoy the fruits of her labor. The Empire actress has been cast in Fox 2000’s Hidden Figures.

The film which will be helmed by Ted Melfi will explore the contributions of a group of black women who played an integral role in the early stages of NASA’s space missions by supplying the relevant data needed to guarantee what turned out to be successful excursions.
Coincidentally, and what can also be deemed as a brilliant marketing ploy, the movie is slated to be released on Jan 13. 2017, which will be the Martin Luther King holiday weekend.
Henson, who embodies the role of the no-nonsense ex-con, Cookie Lyon on Fox’s hit show Empire, is reaping the success that her TV persona has garnered.
There will surely be more to come for the actress, who was also nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar for her role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
