Troubled Irish singer Sinead O’Connor startled fans over the weekend when she posted a disturbing open letter on Facebook – detailing her frustration with her family members particularly her husband and children who she called out for their “horrific set of betrayals”.
There is no way to confirm that O’Connor did in fact post the message on her page, which like most celebrities, sports, the “verified” ticker but the contents of the message implied that the singer had initiated her planned demise as she wrote “The last two nights finished me off”. “I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home. I’m at a hotel. Somewhere in Ireland, under another name”.
Needless to say – the posting did garner warranted attention as the Dublin police was forced to confirm to TMZ that O’Connor is not in any danger and is currently under medical observation.
This isn’t the first time the mother of four has unleashed her fragile mental state by publicly revealing her personal challenges. The theme of her pain seems to be consistently linked to custodial issues. Recently O’Connor accused Irish folk singer Donai Lunny of barring her from seeing her son who happens to be her youngest child.
She details the anguish this revelation has cost her by expressing how she’s been “howling crying for weeks. And been told by them all to go f—k myself. I’m invisible. I don’t matter a shred to anyone”.
The singer who is married to Barry Herridge has not denied or confirmed the reports but hopefully she is receiving the care and support she needs.
