No actor wants to hear that they are not worth every penny they demand but it looks like the celebs on this list have to come to turns with the fact that they are not earning their keep at the box office.
Eddie Murphy sits at the head of the table when it comes to overpaid actors in Hollywood according to Forbes, which is not surprising especially since he has failed to replicate his blockbuster streak from the 80’s when he sat on the throne created from the seeds spurned from Beverly Hill Cop, Trading Places and 48 Hours.
Katherine Heigl we have to agree seems to be pretty over-hyped and deserves to be on the list as well as her blonde nemesis Reese Witherspoon who although adorable, certainly doesn’t seem alluring enough to command the salary she is automatically guaranteed.
The other names on the list include, Nicolas Cage, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, and Sarah Jessica Parker.
This can’t be a good way to end the year as a working actor especially when you have prospects lined up and agents clamoring to secure your next gig. But we doubt these ‘delinquents” will be hurting much from this public lashing considering their A-list status.
We have to admit our disappointment that Denzel Washington made the cut; he is an immeasurable talent and has enjoyed a consistent and respectable career that rivals a lot of his peers in the industry. But Forbes obviously is more concerned about the dollar factor so we will just have to take their word for it.
