Hillary Clinton Will Pop Up on Season Premiere of ‘Saturday Night Live’
In an effort to remind voters that despite the public humiliation she endured courtesy of the former president of the United States and her hubby of forty years, Bill Clinton – she is still capable of conjuring a healthy dose of self-deprecation, complimented with a helping of naturally amassed humor. And so to drive that home – the former first lady will clock in an appearance on NBC’s most valued institution – Saturday Night Live.
It’s no secret that Clinton is facing an uphill battle in the race to the White House as her challengers gain momentum – forcing her to tap into unconventional methods to ensure that the road leading to victory continues without too many potholes.
According to The New York Times, a meeting was arranged between Clinton and comedian and SNL cast member, Kate McKinnon – who took the reigns from Amy Poehler as the latest talent to impersonate Mrs. Clinton.
Despite, the show’s creator Lorne Michael’s quest to keep this a top secret mission – word spread quickly about Clinton’s appearance which shouldn’t really come as a surprise as every candidate in one of the most analyzed political race in history is working overtime to prove to the masses that they have all the components necessary for effortless showmanship.
