It looks like Sony has reportedly given The Plaza Theater in Atlanta and the Alamo Drafthouse Theater in Texas permission to show the most controversial film in recent history.
The Interview, starring James Franco and Seth Rogen has incited a series of events that have ranged from cyber war fare to threats of a 9/11 inspired attack on any theater that dares to host the film – which as far as can be assessed isn’t that great or worth all the trouble.
Be that as it may – on Christmas Day, anyone who is feeling particularly adventurous will have the opportunity to see what all the fuss is about if they happen to dwell close enough to the theaters brave enough to host the spectacle.
Only time will tell if other theaters around the nation will follow suit.
This is being toted as a limited release so the powers that be are obviously treading lightly. Merry Christmas to us all!
