Idris Elba Attends OBE Ceremony at Buckingham Palace, with Proud Mom By His Side

British actor and mandated heartthrob is proving once again why he is irresistibly perfect and would make the perfect compliment to all our secret desires.

The 43-year-old who we are certain will utter the words “James Bond” before the world ends, was just awarded the OBE – one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on an Englishman.

Ever the dashing gent, Elba attended the ceremony, held at Buckingham Palace with his beloved mother who he admits was quite proud to watch her son receive his OBE for services to drama from the Duke of Cambridge.

The actor who greeted the year with a slew of trophies including the best actor SAG award for his tour de force performance in Netflix’s first feature, Beasts of No Nation, is a man of many talents as demonstrated in his skills as a DJ and rapper.

Next up for the Luther star is a starring role in Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, opposite Matthew McConaughey.
