Fashion brand Puma is experiencing a new lease on life. After an extended period of less than stellar returns, the footwear company is now enjoying a surge in sales, which can be directly attributed to the brilliant collaboration between the brand and global sensation Rihanna – who joined forces with Puma a year ago – to unleash her limited-edition, “Creeper” shoes.
As the new creative director of Puma, Rihanna was able to parlay her superstar status, and her undeniably flawless fashion initiatives, in a way that not only appealed to the masses, but also gave the German company a much needed boost – after riding the waves of uncertainty that almost tarnished the reputation that initially put them on the radar of fashion conscious consumers.
It appears that having Rihanna around has been quite profitable due to the growing number of women who are taking an interest in sneakers in a way that hasn’t been seen before.
The success of “Creepers” encouraged a second outing with “Eskiva” and now there is confirmation that in the fall of 2016, a new fall collection of shoes and apparel will be unleashed under the Fenty by Rihanna label.
Anyone who didn’t see this coming, clearly doesn’t understand the star power Rihanna wields and with this latest coup – there is every assurance that there will be more high-profile brands clamoring for the singer’s attention.
