Avatar 2, the long-awaited and overdue sequel to Avatar has been delayed indefinitely because Star Wars Episode VIII altered its release date.
The next installment of the galactic franchise is scheduled to debut in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017 and Avatar 2 was supposed to be released on Christmas 2017 but decided to postpone its debut until… whenever.
Director James Cameron refuses to jeopardize his film’s chance at another record-breaking run – especially since The Force Awakens came close to doing just that.
Needless to say, fans aren’t pleased with the news that they will have to wait even longer for what will surely be another well-implemented blockbuster. But CEO, Jim Gianpulos promises that we will be adequately compensated for the late start, because Cameron is a man of principle, which means delivering anything less than stellar is unfathomable.
