James Cameron Confirms Four More Films for ‘Avatar’ Franchise
Written by admin in at 8:35 pmDirector James Cameron has an ambitious plan for the future of his 2009 blockbuster offering, Avatar, that almost seven years later is still the biggest opening ever worldwide.
Initially, Cameron planned for two more films to continue the fantastical journey of the residents of Pandora but after plotting with a team of screenwriters and what he describes as “some of the top artists and designers in the world”, the famed filmmaker is convinced that he has enough material to produce four more films.

The next installment of the galactic franchise is scheduled to debut in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017 and Avatar 2 was supposed to be released on Christmas 2017 but decided to postpone its debut until… whenever.
