Fashion week in Paris is winding down and so far it has been quite an impressive showing. Aside from the usual parade of celebs, fashion editors and socialites, the runway has been dazzled with an array of mouth-watering pieces.
From Miu Miu to Louis Vuitton, there was hardly anything to be dissatisfied with.
Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen who famously provided the now Duchess of Cambridge the perfect gown for her perfect wedding, served up a confection of colorful treats that paid homage to the ultimate “Pretty Woman”. Models shimmered as they sashayed down the catwalk adorning lace masks. It was a beautiful showing that celebrated the delicacies of femininity.
Miuccia Prada also had a ball making girls feel entitled to their beauty status but she took a different route, using mute colors and playing on the schoolgirl theme. The shapes were reminiscent of boarding school uniforms but the chic factor was at an all time high.
Louis Vuitton never disappoints when it comes to luxury and that mentality flowed on the runway. The pieces were textured and the patterns playful. Simple colors and complicated surfaces were prevalent.
It was an awesome continuation of the theme of beauty and the woman. Vanity never looked so good!
