Trendy Entertainment Report: The Independents Kick Off Awards Season

Monday night was a stunning glitterati of stars all aligned to help celebrate and anoint the upcoming awards season.

New York’s Cipriani Wall Street was charged with ions of expectation and anticipation as The Gotham Independent Film Awards took centerstage, and enticed Hollywood’s emancipated staples. Actors Matt Damon and Marion Cotillard were bestowed the honorable awards of the evening for their immaculately executed careers.

The spotlight also beamed on Moonrise Kingdom, which won best feature, and Behn Zeitlin who nabbed best director for Beasts of the Southern Wild.

It was a night to remember both on and off the red carpet, as a parade of colorful personalities, gorgeous models, and flawlessly decked out actresses glided skillfully amongst the elite.
