Lady Gaga is certainly starting off the year with a bang. After a slew of stunning appearances that include a gorgeous rendition of the national anthem at Super Bowl 50 and the vividly magnificent tribute to late icon David Bowie at The Grammys, (Bowie’s son reportedly hated it but we think she rocked it OUT), the singer/actress who once sashayed down the red carpet covered in slabs of raw meat, is now scheduled for another high honor at the biggest party of the year.
The Born This Way songstress will be performing her Oscar-nominated song Til It Happens To You at Sunday’s ceremony and Vice President Joe Biden has been tapped to introduce the 29-year-old’s highly-anticipated performance.
The gorgeous track was written for the documentary – The Hunting Ground – a film that tackles the controversial and often times overlooked issue of campus rape.
The Vice President has spent a good chunk of his time helping to shed light on the issue of sexual violence by lending his support to the It’s On Us initiative.
Sources also report that after Lady Gaga is introduced, the Vice President will also make a plea to viewers to be active advocates against sexual violence by visiting ItsOnUs.org.
