Apple kept up with tradition by wooing us with yet another demonstration of why they are so hard to resist. For those of you who are fed up with your current gadget and considering jumping ship, you might be give in to the temptations posed by the latest models that were ceremoniously unveiled on Tuesday afternoon at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino, CA.
The iPhone 6 stole expectedly stole the spotlight for various reasons. It’s bigger, sleeker, thinner, and packed with a slew of upgraded functionality. You have a choice between the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus. Both sound amazingly adequate, but of course the 6 Plus is the more progressive of the two. Or perhaps ambitious is a better description when you consider it’s more generous aesthetic. This is most likely Apple’s way of penetrating a market that is dominated by phones that have graduated to the tablet phase. The iPhone 6 is smaller with a 4.7 inch screen versus the 5.5 inch sported by the 6 Plus. In terms of which of the two is more streamlined, the iPhone is 6.8mm thin while the 6 Plus beats the 5s (7.6mm) by boasting 7.1mm.
Both phones have been blessed with what Apple called “Retina HD” which translates to a higher resolution than ever before. Due to a bigger canvas, you can expect longer battery life (hope they get it right this time!). Other notable improvements extend to the ability to take vibrantly crisp photos which can be achieved if you purchase the 6 Plus since it has been singled out as the model with the optical image stabilization feature.
You can purchase both phones in gold, silver or “space grey”. For more on the iPhone 6 and the Apple watch (Yes! This is happening!), click here.
