Jason Wu was on a mission when he unleashed his lineup for fall 2014. Battling the elements never means surrendering your ability to look comfortably chic. He definitely understands the needs of power women on the go, just ask First Lady, Michelle Obama.
His latest offering was a parade of sleekly defined silhouettes swaddled by oversized coverings that displayed the securities of richly tended fabrics. It was a crowded playground that showcased the pleasures of fur and other luxurious wrappings.
The color scheme was seductively understated with sprinkles of glittering confetti to help instigate a quietly glamorous effect.
Wu is a master at paying homage to the female form and his loyalty was demonstrated by the precise structures integrated in his gowns. The slits, off shoulder and low cut details were expertly carved in to enhance the dramatics and celebrate the sensual renderings that make being a woman worth all the hassle.
As usual, it was all so lovely and breathtakingly alluring, the very reason why Jason Wu will always be a girl’s best friend.
