Last night at the Teen Choice Awards, No Doubt took the stage and reminded us why we their 10 year absence from the music scene has been unbearable.
The Ska-inspired band brilliantly introduced their single Settle Down and there was definitely a level of nostalgia mixed in with feverish excitement as frontwoman Gwen Stefani energetically lit up the stage guided by her abiding teamsters.
The video is even more elaborate and vibrant featuring the gang doing what they do best and setting the tone for what to expect from Push and Shove which drops September 25th. The recipe for No Doubt’s success can be attributed to their unique ability to effectively produce strings of interactive and catchy tunes that end up being a paper mache of eclectic genres that thrive perfectly together.
The group recently spoke to Ryan Seacrest about their unexpectedly long hiatus which was mainly due to personal commitments and the long road back to their familiar stomping ground which presented numerous challenges and forced them to re-discover the formula that helped glue them together initially.
The new album is a testament to their unbreakable bond and indisputable range of talents and it also serves as evidence of the fact that even a decade later, No Doubt can’t and won’t fade away that easily.
They can be Pushed and Shoved, but they still stand firm as a force to be reckoned with.
