Vogue magazine is known for courting young rising starlets and runway models, but when it comes to considerably older industry icons, those images are usually regulated to less prominent spaces.
But the rules have never applied to the Queen of Rock N’ Roll, Tina Turner, who at 73 looks stunningly youthful and simply alluring on the cover of Vogue Germany.
The cover is symbolically inclined when you consider that Turner might very well be the oldest subject ever to appear on a Vogue cover – this might be good news for Meryl Streep, who struck a pose for the globally regarded mag at the ripe age of 62.
It takes a trusted and magical team to keep the flaws at bay and the beauty halo highlighted. That is exactly what Claudia Knoepfel, Stefan Indlekofer (photographers) and Nicola Knels (stylist) did, and the results are breathtakingly refreshing.
Tina Turner has managed to remain ageless and regal and we love being reminded that after all these years, she is still SIMPLY THE BEST.
