Charlie Hebdo Will Publish “One Million” Copies Next Week

Written by admin in at 12:09 am

Terrorists be damned is now the assumed mantra of Charlie Hebdo, the satirical publication based in Paris that suffered the unthinkable when their offices were raided by gunmen carrying Kalishnikovs who killed 12 of their employees and injured 10.

Video footage showing clips of the chaos and mayhem also reveal exclamations being made in reference to “Allah” which once again reduces the religion of Islam to a barbaric and domineering indulgence populated with gun wielding maniacs.

But columnist Patrick Pelloux is determined to prove that “Stupidity will not win”, and the best way to guarantee this is to operate as usual despite the tragic circumstances threatening to paralyze their mission.

The famed newspaper has set a goal to publish one million copies of the issue they intend to release next week. This is an ambitious number compared to the 60,000 they normally run a week. The Guardian also learned that the issue will be downsized to eight pages from the normal sixteen.

It can’t be easy to resume the hectic schedule they usually adhere to amidst the emotional trauma of losing members of their work family in such a violent way but Pelloux told AFP, that there is no other better way to release the grip of terrorism, “It’s very hard. We are all suffering, with grief, with fear, but we will do it anyway because stupidity will not win”.

Meanwhile the two principle suspects, Said and Cherif Kouachi who are confirmed to be brothers, possibly robbed a gas station somewhere in the outskirts of Paris on Thursday. And another suspect, 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad turned himself on Thursday morning.
