Her homecoming back to her roots in Memphis poses a threat to her already fragile disposition as she becomes immersed in the heightened world of her parents booming church business as the darkened veil of family secrets – serve as a reminder that nothing is ever as it seems.
Legendary actress Lynn Whitfield and Keith David play the parents and owners of the megachurch while Winfrey embodies the role of Mavis McCready – Grace’s aunt.
The trailer reveals Mavis in dramatic mode as she warns, “This time brother, you’re going down.” We also get a taste of the congregation in worship mode as they literally shake up the space in the towering handles of the megachurch.
