Disgraced Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong, 43, is proving that old habits die hard.
Armstrong lost all seven of his titles when it became evident that he had spent practically his entire career doping.
His level of dishonesty stunned the world and forced him to retire from the world of cycling.
Now the he is back in the headlines and the reason isn’t so shocking considering his soiled track record.
Armstrong could face up to 90 days in jail for allegedly leaving the scene after striking two parked cars on his way home from an event in Aspen.
He and gal pal Anna Hansen, 33, were returning from an Aspen Art Museum party and apparently Armstrong who was at the wheel, succumbed to the wintery mess on the roads due to speeding and collided with the two cars.
Hansen, who lives in Aspen, initially told police that she had been the one driving but that story was rejected after witnesses including the valet who assisted them at the event confirmed that Armstrong was the one sitting in the driver’s seat as they sped away from the gala.
The couple then gave in and confessed that they had “jointly decided” to have Hansen take the fall in order to avoid media attention.
That worked out well! Needless to say, Armstrong was promptly booked and is scheduled to appear in court on March 17.
Obviously Armstrong still relies on others to do his dirty work while refusing to take responsibility for his actions.
But what is even more remarkable is that he actually found someone willing to date him! Guess there really is someone for everyone!
