Oscar de la Renta has always been a fervent supporter of the Uptown Girl and his latest collection indulges all the themes that make being part of the privileged sect an endearing quality.

This gown has Lupita Nyong’o written all over it!

The staple designer didn’t deviate too far from his signature beats, but this time the pieces showcased bolder hues and minimalistic symmetry. As usual his intricate embroidery provided enough structural foreplay.

The gowns were breathtakingly dramatic with elements of seductive flares dutifully inscribed. There was also homage paid to the functionally chic socialite who relishes the value of a power luncheon.

Every woman deserves to be swaddled in de la Renta’s confections – at least once in life.
