Spanish leather goods entity Loewe has commissioned actress Penelope Cruz to be their honorary representative.
The three-year deal has been inked and Cruz will proactively assume her responsibilities with a spring 2013 ad campaign that will be exclusively orchestrated by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. By January 2013, you will be able to gawk at the awesomeness splashed on pages of every major magazine in the hemisphere.
Loewe’s creative director, Stuart Vevers confirmed that bringing Cruz on board was a strategic decision formulated out of their need for global expansion and an inherent admiration for a woman who is associated with unhinged sensuality and massively coherent talent. “Penelope Cruz is Spain’s most famous woman. For us to collaborate feels right and natural”.
There is no doubt that this is a step in the right direction for both parties and we can’t wait to feast our eyes on the stylized results. And considering that Cruz has also lent her sought after template to the likes of Ralph Lauren and L’Oreal, we expect that she will handle this assignment like a seasoned pro.
