It was a galaxy of the fantastical and the nostalgic trek through the transparently decadent era that gave Oscar de la Renta’s fluent production a consensual thumps up.
Each of the models sashayed leisurely decked out in the finest semblance of grandeur even with the simplest of pieces. There was definitely a 60’s resonance in the air, right down to the makeup and hair. Aspiring “Stepford Wives” and Debutantes-in-Waiting with all the money and time in the world to spare; this is your wonderland!
Nobody embodies the precision of well-constructed elegance the way the master does and his unfiltered devotion is evident in this collection.
The circus of taffeta, cinematic tulle, untidy feathers and untamed embellishments, and gentile embroidery were all converted into ceremonious suits, lavish evening dresses and delectably stunning shorts. The color scheme elected vibrantly bold strokes complimented with pious patterns that enhanced the tonal energy and kept our heroines in perfect unison.
It sure is fun being a GIRL!
