The First Lady Michelle Obama made a stunning speech and an equally breathtaking appearance at the Democratic Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday night.
Twitter was ablaze once it was confirmed that her sedately elegant pink and silver confection was an original by American designer Tracy Reese. But the energetic exchange was quickly dominated with phrases like; Success doesn’t count until you have earned it fair and square, Women are more capable of making their own choices when it comes to their body and healthcare, It’s not how much money you make, it’s the difference you make in people’s lives. And of course the most resounding of them all: BEING A PRESIDENT DOESN’T CHANGE WHO YOU ARE. IT REVEALS WHO YOU ARE.
It was an incredibly successful night for the DNC and of course the roaring speech by The Mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Julian Castro added to the golden moments and possibly positioned him for future political aspirations.
But for now we are left to bask in the glory of Michelle Obama’s inspiring lovesong to her husband and the nation he is responsible for.
Yes her dress was fabulous and she was styled impeccably but it was her brilliance and fortitude that stole the show.
