New York Fashion Week is merely weeks away and as the buzz and anticipation heightens we are trying to bring you along with us as we gear up for yet another exciting apocalyptic ride.
ARISE Magazine will be back again this year to help initiate another round of blazing designers who have managed to accrue sustainable careers thanks to their unique interpretations of tribal sophistication blended with echoes of western influences. These designers proudly embrace their heritage by using it as a compass to guide their decadent senses, which in turn produces a mirage of exquisitely, executed pieces that have garnered them much deserved global recognition and unfaltering success.
The African designers selected for ARISE Magazine’s immaculate conception are as follows; Ozwald Boateng, Maki Oh, Tiffany Amber, Gavin Rajah, and Tsemaye Binite.
The big day has been scheduled for September 6th at 3pm, and the Theater Room at the Lincoln Center will be appointed venue.
It promises to be another epic event that once again highlights the incomparable talent emitting from the Diaspora, A fact that unfathomably has remained buried until now.
Well, there is no time like the present. Pop the cork, and dim all the lights! Time to engage the spotlight!
Hopefully the images below will help familiarize you with the designers that are poised to take center stage.
