Celebrated wedding designer dress designer Monique Lhuillier has made it her business to transform the most important day of a woman’s life into a memorable occasion one bedazzled stitch at a time.
The burgeoning entrepreneur has quite an elaborate enterprise, that includes her bridal wear and a line of dewy fragrances, and now she can check footwear off her to do list.
Lhuillier, will carryover her penchant for producing beautiful things to her new shoe collection by maintaining the same level of glamour and heightened sophistication that has helped make her a household name and a favorite among celebs.
The shoe line will consist of 15 styles and will launch in the spring with hopes of expansion projected for fall 2013. The price points are definitely not for penny pinchers, you can expect to pay anywhere from $595 to $1,195. But any fan of Lhuillier wouldn’t hesitate to add a pair of intricately constructed Italian hailed heels, etched with lace and tribal skins to their closet.
Her shoe collection will find a home in her existing stores and then in September they will be on full display at a separate space that will mark the first official store based in New York.
Any new venture presents its own unique set of challenges and as Lhuillier explained to WWD, despite racking up years of experience as a successful business owner, taking on the shoe business has proven to be quite tasking and time consuming. But from the looks of recently released images, she is making excellent use of her time!
