There is No Doubt that the buzz surrounding the comeback of one of the most beloved bands of the 90’s is making their legions of fans pant with anticipation. Their new album aptly titled “Push and Shove” will be drop on September 25th.
That’s probably why they have decided to give us a snippet of what to expect after such a long hiatus. Almost eleven years later, Gwen Stefani and her squad are ready to kick off the summer on a melodious note by hitting us with the first single “Settle Down” which will makes its debut on July 16th.
It’s safe to say that we can expect the band to be back to its old tricks again, wooing us with heartfelt lyrics backed up with a Ska-infused sound heightened by threads of pop and rock infusion. The video for “Settle Down” will be a nostalgic reunion with their longtime collaborator director Sophie Muller who worked on their past hits including “Don’t Speak” “Simple Kind of life” and “Underneath It All”. Great to see that some things never change!
All the hype and excitement is not lost on the band and they took to their website to elaborate more on all the goodies coming our way:
“Hi Everyone…
Hope you are sitting down because we’ve got some really big news to share with you! While adding the finishing touches to our new album we realized it was time to name it…so we did, and the name is…(drum roll please)…Push and Shove !!!
We also want to let you know that the first single from Push and Shove will be “Settle Down” and we’ll be filming the video for it this week with our longtime friend and collaborator Sophie Muller. Very exciting!
We can hardly wait!
