European born chain store Zara set the standard even before present day staples like H&M and Forever 21 were able to unscramble the formula of what it takes to keep eager young fashionistas consistently hungry and satisfied.
The ability to provide edgy but functional pieces that are classically inclined can be a tricky undertaking especially when they are strategically affordable. But Zara kept the momentum going without skipping a beat. But it seems the maestros behind the scenes are running out of original content and resorting to copycat methods to keep their customers inspired.
The Times’s decided to call them out in a revealing and almost humiliating way. From Victoria Beckham to Prada to Theyskens for Theory, designers are being unapologetically re-produced in cheaper less luxurious versions.
