It looks like no matter how convincingly gorgeous transgender women are, they can never quite get over the hump of not being a naturally born female.
23 year-old Canadian Jenna Talackova, underwent extensive surgery at the age of 19 in order to avoid any confusion when it came to which gender she identified mostly with. But unfortunately she was brought to task, last Friday, when the powers that be came to the conclusion that she didn’t meet the requirements necessary to compete in the Miss Universe Canada competition despite her obviously stunning looks.
Of course Talackova expressed her disappointment, issuing a statement, “I am very disappointed with the decision taken by Miss Universe…organizers, However, I will look to turn this situation into a positive so that other people in a similar situation are not discriminates against in the future”.
The rules however are blatantly clear that in order to qualify, contestants have to be born female, and Talackova did not acknowledge her complicated status until much later.
We now live in a world where its possible to make the impossible happen, but even those miracles can’t erase reality.
