The usual suspects gathered for another start-studded ceremony to celebrate the past year’s best performances.
The winners of the night didn’t deviate from the public predictions; The Help continued its well-deserved winning streak, by collecting the Best Cast, Motion Picture statue, while Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer both walked away with Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards. Jean Dujardin was recognized for his immaculate work in The Artist by winning Best Actor, Motion Picture.
Boardwalk Empire scored major wins in the Television category with Steve Buscemi earning a Best Actor, TV Drama trophy, while Best Cast, TV Drama also went to the Martin Scorcese drama.
It was a pretty low key affair devoid of any theatrics or comical side banter.
