ABBA Making A Comeback! Sort Of…
One of the most iconic bands of the modern era, and inspiration for one of the most popular Broadway musicals to date, ABBA, just announced that they will pay homage to their 1981 hit album The Visitors by re-releasing it and including a never before heard track, “From a Twinkling Star to a Passing Angel”, which was recorded during the implementation of The Visitors.
The re-vamped album also comes with additional goodies that will make ABBA fans warmly nostalgic. Aside from the inclusion of six previously released bonus tracks, fans will also get the chance to enjoy never before seen footage pulled directly from the band’s private archives. The beloved group’s final live performance on the BBC program, Late Late Breakfast Show, which aired in December 1982, the same year the Swedish pop band decided to call it quits, is an example of some of the stops down memory lane.
This occasion marks the first time since 1994 when their box set Thank You for the Music was released, that ABBA has unleashed new material.
April 23rd is the official date and we are bursting with anticipation and excitement!
It just proves that not all good things come to an end.
