Sephora has built a reputation as the go-to place when it comes to stalking up on all the must-have cosmetics saturating the market.
So it’s only reasonable that they team up with Firmenich, an internationally known producer of perfumery, to set up a sensory workshop that aims to enhance and charm our senses.
Sensorium: An Immersive Journey Through Lucid Dreams From the Sensory World” started welcoming visitors last week and will continue to do so until Nov. 27. The eye-popping installation is at West 14th Street, tucked in the distractingly trendy Meatpacking District in Manhattan.
This seems to be a creative attempt to revive people’s awareness and passion for the sensual flavors that inspire us to cling to our staple scents.
Sharon Rothstein, VP of marketing at Sephora told WWD, “With fragrances, like everyone else, we’ve had to rethink the category, over the last five years, statistics have shown a dramatic decline in fragrance use. This is intended to educate consumers and remind them what’s magical about fragrance”.
Hopefully this spectacular display of artistic melodic machinery that magically emits the stuff that can only inspire will do the trick.
Tickets cost $15. But you can click over to Sephora to redeem your $15 by making a purchase.
