Trendy Fashion Report: Lanre Da Silva Ajayi is Dolce & Gabbana’s Latest Muse

Nigerian designer Lanre Da Silva Ajayi has amassed an impressive roster of loyalists due to her intrinsic approach to the modern day assimilation of Western and Multi-cultural statutes.

She has managed to dictate the climate for the new age of refinement and embodiment in an industry that remained pretty structural, until now.

Her exquisite range of pieces are consistently lathered with etches of tailored perfection and a level of vibrancy and that awakens the senses of the fashionably inclined.

It is no wonder that esteemed designers Dolce & Gabbana nabbed her for their Milan based boutique, making her the first African designer to be given the honor to display wares in their high-end retail store.

Da Silva’s LDA brand has already experienced enviable global domination and recognition but her latest collection appropriately titled Butterfly Kisses, which now dwells in the Spiga2 Concept store, was destined for extreme exposure.  It was birthed from LDA’s showing at the June 2012 Pitti Immagine Trade Show in Florence, Italy, courtesy of the support rendered by Lagos Fashion and Design Week and Style House Files.

This latest triumph for the Lagos based designer who who back in 2010 garnered the attention of Franca Sozzani, the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia which led to a feature spread in the May-June 2012 issue of L’Uomo Vogue, validates her immeasurable talent and graceful career trajectory.

From Pop Store installations in Selfridges to space invasions in Milan, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi is poised for supreme adulation which as an African descendant, is a step in the right direction.
