The Spice Girls Are Ready and Set for the Olympics

After weeks of speculation and carefully veiled answers, it has been confirmed that The Spice Girls will be playing a role during the Olympics closing ceremony.

 Surprisingly enough the deal was sealed almost two years ago complete with an itinerary of songs the group selected for their first high profile gig since…God knows how long! Victoria Beckham decided to let the cat out of the bag and put an end to all the suspense by confessing to British Vogue (of course!)  that she and the girls will indeed be a part of the festivities.

 The way things are shaping up; we might just bypass the games and save all that anticipation for the grand finale! Those performances seem to be a guaranteed WIN for all involved! It will be interesting to see how the Girls hold up especially with the likes of Paul McCartney and The Who lurking around, but if they really are planning to spice up the stage with their hit Wannabie, then they just might be on to something…

Wonder if Beckham plans on outfitting her gal pals in her savory duds – that would be the patrotic thing to do!
