Beyonce’s big screen hiatus is coming to an end as sources confirm that Jay Z’s better half will be starring in a remake of A Star is Born alongside Bradley Cooper who is set to make his directorial debut with this project that won’t star production until 2017.
In the meantime, Cooper is working on rounding up the rest of the cast now that his esteemed co-star is all in.
This will be the fourth time that A Star is Born is given the big screen treatment, back in 1954, Judy Garland starred in the second version based on the 1937 original, and in 1976, Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson tore into their roles with memorable passion that will definitely be hard to replicate but hopefully both Beyonce and Cooper will deliver their own unique interpretations without fail.
A Star is Born centers around a young and talented woman who is encouraged to pursue a career in show business by the guy she ends up falling in love with whose star is rapidly descending as hers is rising – due to his erratic behavior and troubled past.
Too bad we have to wait so long to feast our eyes on this revamped offering but something tells us it will be worth it. Good or bad.
