Banana Republic is not necessarily known for their ability to enhance or encourage alcohol intake, but it looks like that’s about to change, thanks to their recent collaboration with Clos du Bois wines.
This recent venture is inspired by the upcoming holiday season which will no doubt be cluttered with parties and events leading up to the grand finale – New Year’s Eve! So to compete with all the various soirees around town, it couldn’t hurt to be the perfect hostess and add a whimsical element by serving wine from bottles that display exquisite sketches courtesy of Simon Kneen, Banana Republic’s creative director. The 2010 chardonnay ($16.99) features a “party girl” donning a cute black dress, and the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon ($18.99) shows off a red dress with a full skirt detail.
And be sure not to toss out those empty bottles because there is another surprising detail that will add a melodious effect to your gathering. Each bottle comes with a code that will give partiers the ability to become impromptu DJs by streaming tunes from a complied “music bar”.
This definitely adds new dimensions to the simplicity of just enjoying a bottle of wine, but when all bets are off – Anything Goes!
