Rihanna is going to be the subject of an upcoming documentary that will give fans “unfiltered” access into her life and times.
The Work singer will reunite with actor turned director Peter Berg who helmed Battleship – the film that also starred the burgeoning actress and bona fide trendsetter.
According to Berg’s production company – Film 45 – the documentary is supposed to draw major inspiration from 1967’s Don’t Look Back, a film that ambitiously documented the captivatingly complex life of legendary rocker, Bob Dylan.
There is much to Work with when it comes to the divine facets of Rihanna’s life as an artist and influencer – not to mention her brief but tumultuous relationship with singer Chris Brown that ended with images of her battered face splattered all over the media landscape.
There is no official release date but Film 45 did share a summary of what the project hopes to achieve:
Follow this true international superstar as she navigates life as an artist, businesswoman, and humanitarian, while contending with the inherent pressure of artistic freedom. Peter Berg’s Rihanna is an unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon, providing a glimpse into the evolution of one of the world’s most well-known pop artists.
