The Met Gala 2013 reared its privileged head last night and the looks hindered on quirky and overtly melodious themes. This could be due to the dress code that encouraged Chaos to Couture, which in essence gives permission for all in attendance to run rampant in their quest to fulfill the requirements of the night.
Madonna in Givenchy Haute Couture
Sarah Jessica Parker in Phillip Treacy headpiece and Giles Deacon gown
Some of the looks catered to the pristine punk attitude that has dutifully evolved over the years to encompass a more liberated and almost spiritual point of view. The standouts included Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Ritchie, Jennifer Lawrence and Cameron Diaz to name a few.
A lot more celebs played it safe which was a somewhat of a let down when you consider the fact that they all had free reign when it came to their choices of garb but taking a risk is not an easy endeavor.
That’s why we have to pay homage to the ones that dared to go THERE.
Check it out!
