This is a great time for Marilyn Monroe, a movie, showcasing her at her memorable best; My Week with Marilyn, with actress Michelle Williams will hit theaters next month.
And to help compliment the “All things Marilyn” momentum, there will be an uncensored photo exhibit in her honor that promises to expose her randomly seductive moments in the most flattering light. The Weinstein Company who also help sponsor the exhibition alongside Christian Dior were obviously compelled to use this outlet to help promote their docu-film.
The venue of choice for Picturing Marilyn will be the always accommodating Milk Gallery in NYC, and the two-day event that runs from Nov. 10th to the 13th, gives insight into how bubbly wide-eyed Norma Jeane Baker became the flawed but beloved Marilyn Monroe. Her entrancing story is told through translucent imagery that almost makes you wish she could literally come alive and beckon you to enter the space she is commanding.
All 62 pics are courtesy of renowned photographers of that time, including, Bruno Bernard, Sam Shaw and Ben Ross, and each one depicts captivating moments of intense significance that re-affirm her still recognized sex symbol status.
Definitely worth taking the time to check out!
