Netflix Confirms Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’ Will Debut on September 30th

Fans who have been pining for any information regarding Netflix’s third entrée from Marvel – Luke Cage – can finally shift over to relax mode.

It has been announced that the highly anticipated series sprouted from the branches of current hit Jessica Jones, will make its debut on September 30^th.

Not much has been divulged about the framework of Luke Cage except the obvious spiller that lead actor Michael Colter will inhabit the role of the former convict turned crime fighter who possesses super human strength in the form of what is described as “unbreakable skin”. He moves to Harlem as a reactionary response to the events that unfolded on Jessica Jones and patrols the streets in a quest to devour the bad guys.

The cast has shaped up to include Sonia Braga, Alfre Woodard, Frank Whaley, and Mahershala Ali.

Based on the runaway success of Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter as a former superhero who operates her own detective agency – it is easy to be optimistic about the future of Luke Cage.

But as they say only time will tell.
