Corinne Fox, daughter of Jamie Foxx, Has Been Named Miss Golden Globe 2016

In a long standing tradition and salute to the offspring of Tinseltown’s brightest and finest – the daughter of triple threat talent Jamie Foxx – Corinne Foxx has been named Miss Golden Globe 2016.

The stunning first-born daughter of the Django Unchained star is already on her way to major stardom as evident in her impressive resume that includes stints as an actress and accessories model all while she continues her studies at the University of Southern California.

The announcement was confirmed by The Hollywood Foreign Press – the institution responsible for initiating The Golden Globe Awards. The duties of the recipient aside from enduring the hassle of being decked out in designer duds from head to toe, include handing out the golden trophies to the lucky winners onstage during the ceremony.

The esteemed honor isn’t lost on the college senior who released a statement expressing her gratitude and endearingly recognizing her Oscar-winning dad, “Throughout the years I’ve grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor”. I’m honored that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he’s been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments”.

The choice of Corinne Foxx seems more than appropriate given fact that the elder Foxx garnered a Golden Globe Award back in 2005 for his memorable portrayal of Ray Charles in the movie Ray.

Jamie Foxx validated his joy via Twitter on late Tuesday by captioning a photo of his smiling daughter attending the HFPA and InStyle party celebrating the announcement.

The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will be held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Jan. 10 with comedian Ricky Gervais serving as the host of the night.
