Who knew the day would come when BET would find it necessary to refuse to air a work of art by one of the most popular talents in the business.
It looks like Nicki Minaj has finally crossed over to the forbidden zone, thanks to her sexually charged and explicitly vibrant music video – Stupid Hoe. Hype Williams, who directed this deliciously controversial piece, teamed up with the universally recognized Queen of Rap to produce a visually enticing collage that features among other things, inexplicably floating objects that resemble bare derrieres that seem to be detached from their owners
Apparently the execs at BET were not too thrilled at the idea of subjecting their viewers to such racy themes so they were quick to ban it from airing without a formal explanation. But a rep did confirm that the graphic nature of the video inspired their decision.
Well, at least Minaj will have an opportunity to make up for her public humiliation since she will be performing at the Super Bowl this weekend. She will no doubt bring her A game, bouncing booties and all!
