Pope Francis Secures First Film Role in ‘Beyond the Sun’

Pope Francis has been actively reminding us that he is more than wiling to exercise his right to break with protocol when he the need arises.

But, did we ever imagine the Pontiff heading to Hollywood? If, not – then it’s time to feed our imagination because the Pope will be playing himself in a movie titled – Beyond the Sun.

This is epic! Mostly because it marks the first time a Pope has ever been cast in a feature film.
Ambi Pictures honored the request of Pope Francis who asked the production outlet to develop a film that entertainingly educates children about the sweet message of Jesus.
Obviously the Pope isn’t doing this to prove his acting chops – all the profits from this angelic endeavor will go to Argentinean charities (El Alemendro and Los Hogares de Cristo), both organizations are devoted to helping at-risk children and young adults.
How refreshing to know that the Pope acknowledges the various methods in which to inspire those who need to see the light – in more ways than one.
