Almost three years after her untimely death, Whitney Houston returns to the spotlight, but this time it’s for good reason. A compilation of the late singer’s most memorable performances, including her chill-inducing version of “The Star Spangled Banner” will be available for fans on Nov. 10.
Music mogul Clive Davis, who famously discovered Houston and helped shape her legendary career, made the announcement on the Today show.
Believe it or not this will be Houston’s first live album and it has been packaged to include 16 songs on the CD and 19 performances on the DVD.
This endearing tribute was also a collaborative effort. Houston’s mother Cissy Houston also played a big part in selecting appropriate tracks for the album.
The November release will no doubt be a catalyst for holiday shoppers searching for that perfect gift that keeps on giving.
