Trendy Fashion Report: Oscar de la Renta Proposes to John Galliano

Disgraced fashion designer John Galliano may get a chance to not only redeem himself but prove to the very community that shunned him after his anti-Semitic drunken outburst a couple of years ago why he deserves a second chance.

Oscar de la Renta is inviting Galliano to his New York studio for a 3-week rehabilitation in the hopes of rejuvenating the creativity and mastery of a genius that just happened to lose his grasp along the way.

Galliano admitted that his extended struggle with alcoholism had greatly impeded his judgment and was ultimately to blame for his shameful and destructive behavior.

Only time will tell if his controversial arrangements with De la Renta will result in a miraculous career comeback. But for now, perhaps it’s time for the industry’s regulators to consider the possibility that Galliano’s worst days may very well be behind him.
