It was all in the details; eloquent transparency and sporty delicacy were all melded into the dramatic template that manifested into the picturesque fantasy of Monaco, the host city for Dior’s sedately climatic showing.

Aquatic themes dominated the spirit of the collection, and the stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea helped to arouse the searing senses of the guests. The silhouettes were energetically fluid and the color scheme maintained a level of vibrant dynamism that co-existed perfectly with the airy surroundings.

Christian Dior’s artistic director Raf Simons had hoped for blue cloudless skies but Mother Nature had other plans, and unleashed a curtain of steady rainfall that didn’t ever let up.

But despite the disappointing forecast, the parade of pieces that lit up the room managed to capture the essence of what relaxed elegance should look like. The magical manipulation of richly defined fabrics molded into a collection that screamed functional chic, something the very privileged attendants could undoubtedly relate to.

The carefree nature of each dissection allowed for welcomed flashes of skin paired with strong splashes of luminescent accompaniments.

After acknowledging this latest workmanship, we have to say that the future never looked so bright!

The truth being that she had an 87% chance of developing breast cancer if she refused to have the surgery. The aftermath is a much more encouraging report, since she now only has a 5% chance of developing the disease.

The Angelina Effect will guarantee that more women will be actively seeking out advice from their physicians to ensure that their lifespan isn’t hampered by faulty genetic coding.

Her ability to initiate trends is a special gift that she has adequately mastered throughout her career; hopefully her latest endeavor will be the ultimate domino effect.

Beyonce’s little sis is poised to have her day in the sun as she spreads her wings and builds her nest stuffed with a few goodies including her upcoming album and her very own record label, Saint Records.

Curator Andrew Bolton has staged an identifiably nostalgic homage to the still throbbing age of punk.

The oracles of this indelible movement took up residence in London and New York decades ago, and the consequences are a testimony to the power of loyal following and artistic endeavors that challenge the lives of the simple and sheltered.

Punk: Chaos to Couture is courtesy of The Costume Institute and you can catch the revolving exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC this coming Thursday until August 14^th.

You will be completely transported and mesmerized by the authenticity of the rousing images and props on display. The erected bathroom of the famed CBGB bathroom, which Patti Smith once described as the fountain of nourishment for the punk rockers back in the day, to the nearly 100 pieces from designers like Vivienne Westwood, Viktor & Rolf,  Comme des Garcons, and Yohji Yamamoto, all of these colorful characters serve as a fitting tribute to a religion that continues to inspire revivals through many different genres in ways that are still relatable and gratifying.

It’s a gorgeously and surprisingly elegant time capsule with a glam-funk mist in the air and music from the film A Clockwork Orange providing the clarity needed to truly appreciate the ambiance and the visual legacies that plague this magnificent showcase.

If you are itching to take a cathartic walk down the perennial lane while also receiving an adequately refined education on the current metaphorical climate, then this exhibit should suit your needs accordingly.

Looks like Dr. Drew Pinsky is finally feeling the heat after his character was mercilessly assaulted due to a series of mishaps that have plagued his VH1 sponsored platform – Celebrity Rehab.

His reputation has steadily declined ever since it became public knowledge that five of his former cast mates have passed away.

Among them, Rodney King, Mindy McCready and Jeff Conaway, all of whom sought help under the prying glare of the lenses assigned to the now certified Reality TV genre.

The good doctor is finally realizing that perhaps airing the dirty laundry of the vulnerable and troubled using a platform that doesn’t just breed invasiveness but also delivers truck loads of judgment may not be the ideal way to successfully guide his patients from the dark side.

So of course the only logical thing to do would be to end the madness, which is the reason why VH1 has consented to pulling the plug on Celebrity Rehab, or maybe it’s because there has been an overwhelming level of outrage directed at Pinsky who despite his apparent genuine façade, undoubtedly profited from the misfortunes of the now deceased.

He is no longer willing to play the role of TV martyr, he explains, “To have people questioning my motives and taking aim at me because people get sick and die because they have a life-threatening disease, and I take the blame? Rodney King has a heart attack and I take blame for that? I don’t have plans to do that again. I’m tired of taking all the heat. It’s just ridiculous”.

It is and was a ridiculous concept to have long-suffering celebs wasting away in front of the camera under the tutelage of professional who professed to have their best interest in mind despite the crippling irony of the situation.

All we have to say about this is – Good Riddance!
