ARISE Magazine<\/strong> is back again to wow us with their lineup of the best Africa has to offer in the world of fashion. And we were lucky to get acces to the behind the scenes action as they prepare for the BIG DAY tomorrow! ARISE Spring 2012 Designer Collective, Made in America<\/strong> will have its moment to shine September 15 at 5pm at the prestigious Avery Fisher Hall<\/strong> in the Lincoln Center<\/strong>, and Grammy award-winning artist Leona Lewis<\/strong> is scheduled to perform.<\/p>\n

The designers being featured are a unique crop of talent chosen specifically for their unique interpretation of African fashion with a modern twist. We were able to meet with some of them and chat about their collection and where they draw their inspiration. We also got a glimpse of Helen Jennings the Editor of ARISE, hard at work with the logistics for the upcoming show. Exciting to say the least!<\/p>\n

For those of us lucky enough to snag an invite, we can’t wait to view the masterpieces that will be on display and take in the glory of AFRICA at its very best! But we will be sure to bring you all the details and the backstage excitement. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n
