All of those elements peppered through the dramatic extravaganza and it was quite overwhelming to take in the insightful journey from the days of old to the modern age while also appreciating the classic ingenuity of past and present day pioneers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/2012\/07\/29\/trendy-spotlight-london-delivers-with-opening-ceremony-spectacular\/2012olympicgamesopeningceremonyeuqwxl3xmz0l\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3916\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3916\" title=\"2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+eUQwxL3xmZ0l\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+eUQwxL3xmZ0l.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"594\" height=\"396\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+eUQwxL3xmZ0l.jpg 594w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+eUQwxL3xmZ0l-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 594px) 100vw, 594px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were some familiar faces along the way, actor<strong> Kenneth Branagh<\/strong> and Harry Potter author <strong>J.K. Rowling<\/strong> provided judicious narration and all the supporting players chimed in helping to expose a world of splendor set against breathtakingly symbolic melodies. The spellbinding aerial play of performers dressed as the beloved British nanny Mary Poppins was quite a treat as were the &#8220;happy feet&#8221; nurses who did their utmost best to celebrate the novelty of Peter Pan.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/2012\/07\/29\/trendy-spotlight-london-delivers-with-opening-ceremony-spectacular\/2012olympicgamesopeningceremonysnffwvnqgeil-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3911\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3911\" title=\"2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+SnffwVNQGeil\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+SnffwVNQGeil1-620x406.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"406\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+SnffwVNQGeil1-620x406.jpg 620w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+SnffwVNQGeil1-300x196.jpg 300w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/2012+Olympic+Games+Opening+Ceremony+SnffwVNQGeil1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were quite a few eye-popping moments as expected but <strong>Her Majesty<\/strong> being escorted by none other than <strong>James Bond<\/strong> (<strong>Daniel Craig<\/strong>) from Buckingham Palace to a waiting helicopter was by far the biggest showstopper of the night. But it didn\u2019t end there! <strong>The Queen<\/strong> and her Secret Agent decided to make a stunning entrance by parachuting into the already revved up Olympic Stadium. And they say the Royals are too stiff to accommodate a sense of humor!?
